Language models and how people get information
Large language models are changing how doctors and patients communicate and how people look up information. Earlier work looked at informed consent: it argues that consent is more than an exchange of words, which limits what language models can do in consent conversations.
Another part of my work asks whether large language models give a less complete account of contested historical events, such as mass atrocities, when asked in some languages than in others.
